Be my Friendster
I remember getting put onto friendster maybe two years ago by Lukas or Warwick or someone and thinking that it was some kind of dating service...which it is. But I try and ignore that. It's really an online friend network where everyone has a profile and is linked together by friends they have in common. This is cool. It's like that conversation you have in the bar with a guy that you just met but you see around all the time anyway and it turns out he knows your buddy from res. back in the day, and he's dating your ex...except the conversation/connection happens online automatically.
Despite the radness of the concept, I never really got into it. But I got an e-mail from friendster today 'cause they added this 'superfriendster' link that you can put on your blog. Point being that everyone has a blog now (if you don't maybe you should?), and friendster seems to be a good way to use the web and blogs to get the social scene lit up.
